Thank you very much, Peter, for your kind words.
If you're after some more ...err... consistent xanthina, you may want to have a look at the beasties from 2004 =>

 Hello Jeroen,

your trip reports are really very interesting and I am jealous of trips like that.
I just returned from my trip to Bornholm, Danmark (remember: you gave me a species list), - but i travelled with my family and, unfortunately they are not that herb-crazy as your "bunch of freaks".

 I encountered:
 Bufo bufo
 Bufo calamita
 Hyla arborea
 Rana dalmatina
 Rana lessonae
 lacerta agilis
 Anguis fragilis
 Zootoca vivipara

unfortunately no snakes ! (I really hoped to find vipera berus)

Congratulation for the great pictures you resp. your friends are taking.
I am always trying to do the same but obviously witk less success- http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/827287
How do you manage to "shoot" snakes that are usually very fast moving (e.g. all the whip snakes)? Do you always catch them first and "surround them" with your friends, not giving them a change to escape ?

I found some infos in your "making of". - Is that all ? - please let me know

 Yours,

It certainly helps to catch them ;-). Seriously - we always catch the snakes and certainly the faster ones. To prevent the animal from escaping before you get a chance to take a picture, it's good to have helpers standing by plus using a lid (see "making of..."). Not really more to it than that...Zitat von frankpaul Beitrag anzeigenHow do you manage to "shoot" snakes that are usually very fast moving (e.g. all the whip snakes)?
